Rare White Orangutan Sat Alone In A Rusty Cage, But Watch Her Beautiful Reaction When They Set Her Free

The orangutan albino is finally free to wander in its natural habitat
Conservationists celebrate after the world’s albino orangutan was released into the jungle, after being found hungry and dehydrated in an Indonesian village.

Alba is the name given to the only albino orangutan recorded in the world. The name is symbolic, since it means “white” in Latin. This beautiful primate remained a prisoner in a small town until it was rescued by two volunteers from the Central Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) and the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) two years ago.

After her rescue, Alba was treated in a facility owned by BOS. The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation is a non-profit organization that deals exclusively with Borneo oranges and guarantees that they are protected against hunters or poachers.
Alba was severely malnourished and had numerous health problems when she was rescued, so the foundation dedicated time and resources to provide everything needed for her recovery. The best veterinarians in the country have come to the aid of this beautiful spirit.

While in the BOS facility, Alba quickly began to thrive and at the same time conquered the world as its recovery was captured on YouTube by this challenging organization. Orangutans are primates that form relationships with others, and Alba was no exception. He quickly joined with another orangutan named Kika.

Being the only albino orangutan in the world, the continuity of Alba was of the utmost importance for the BOS team. They didn’t want to free her without knowing their chances of survival, so they spent many days accessing the situation and trying to find a suitable and safe place for their emancipation.
The team decided that Bukit Buka Bukit Raya National Park was the perfect conservation area for Alba. On December 10th, BOS volunteers embarked on an adventure that will end with the release of Alba along with her new friend, Kika.

These brave people had to endure some harsh conditions to find the perfect location for this historic event, and they eventually succeeded. Kika and Alba came out of their cages and were released.

Kika immediately went into the forest and jumped into the trees while Alba looked around a bit before meeting her friend. The release of this timeless and appreciated orangutan has required time and effort for many, but it has definitely been worth it.
